DMTC Is an Active and Fun-Loving Club
The DMTC serves the tennis community at various levels – from beginners to advanced players. Our popular club programs include holiday socials, tennis lessons, Junior Camp, house league, team play in competition with other clubs, and a Kaffeeklatsch with a large proportion of seniors. These programs are open to all members.
Our succesful programs attracted good number of adult and junior members to our club .
Following are some of our successful programs and heads up on priorities for court usage during the season:
- Scheduled group programs, such as socials and Kaffeeklatsch, will use all six courts.
- We have six holiday socials during the season.
- Kaffeeklatsch is held Tuesdays and Fridays.
- League play and Junior Camp use three courts.
- The coach has priority on Court #1 except during Kaffeeklatsch hours on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon and during club social hours from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- On supervised hours, the supervisor may ask players to double up when attendance is high.
- Certain times are specifically allocated to adult or junior members.
- The ICTA, NYTA and Club Tournaments will use three courts.
- Limited court availability during make-up matches resulting from rain cancellations.
The above activities are limited in time, and several are limited in the number of courts used. Their schedules are shown for each day on the monthly calendar displayed in the clubhouse and on the club’s Web site. For all other times, five courts are available for individual play – make that six when a pro is not teaching. |
