DMTC Tennis Fair
We are proud to announce our club participation in the OTA Tennis Fair which will be held on:
Date: Saturday, June 21st, 2008
From: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Cost: Entry fee is the amazing low price of $10 dollars!
Each participant will receive two Rogers qualifying tickets & OTA t-shirt. Prizes and the latest Wilson racquets will be available to demo.
This fun fair focuses on the fun side of tennis with co-operative games and a little technical feedback, but it will give you insight into effective doubles play while offering maximum enjoyment.
A maximum of 38 participants is required, so it will be on a first come, first serve, first paid basis. Sign up ASAP!!
Tennis Fair Activities:
Doubles Fair
This includes serve and serve return and hitting drills where repetition of strokes, proper movement, and court coverage are emphasized. Contest at the completion of the drills.
Tour Doubles
Improve your individual ability to play team doubles. You define your individual game style, and how to blend with a partner’s game style. It involves various play situations, combined with opponent analysis. Emphasis is placed on phases of play (parts of the doubles game) and tactics used by tour players using current drills from the ATP and WTA tours.
